FRS are recruiting an Accounts / Procurement / Billing Manager for a world leading freight / audit business based in South Birmingham.

Suitable candidates will be experienced working for a global business ideally within the Freight / Logistics / FMCG sector and be an all-rounded Finance professional who has solid exposure to Procurement. This role will encompass both of sides of the business whilst being the go-to for 2-3 staff member within the Finance department.

Duties To Include:
Ensure credit terms issued to clients are being complied with and when not complied with, determine why and work with client managers to expedite payment.
On winning new business, contribute to sales team regarding credit terms.
Ensure maximum use of credit terms afforded by suppliers are exploited, and where possible, longer to maximise cash availability to business development.
Build a proper structure within the finance department to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
Work as part of a joint team with the HR Director
Implement a Purchase Order (PO) system for the UK to control unauthorised spending
Review current bank offering compared to market rates.
Ensure surplus cash is being utilised fully e.g. investment into interest bearing accounts.
Full review of VAT treatment of expenses and billing.
Liaison with VAT Partner contact at law firm for a formal review if necessary.
Contribute to the development of the automation/semi-automation of the billing process, driven by project managers as opposed to finance department led process
A full review and benchmarking of all existing supplier contracts.
Discussion with existing suppliers to ensure preferential rates obtained.
Initiate a procurement process for seeking and appointing new suppliers.
Identify a suitable property managing agent to look after the day-to-day of the properties

The salary is negotiable based on experience but somewhere in the region of between £45-55k but fully flexible for those with excellent careers / industry knowledge.
