My client is a SME owner managed business within the logistics industry, ideally located in North West Leicestershire (near Jct. 22 of M1) and therefore easily commutable from across the East Midlands.

As a result of the exit of a long term employee, FRS have been enlisted to assist the business with the recruitment of a Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join the business.

This position will form part of the SLT, reporting into the Managing Director of this £8m Turnover Business and take management responsibility for 1 finance team member (Book Keeper) who looks after much of the day to day Purchase & Sales Ledger and Credit Control Duties.
• Timely completion of monthly management accounts with commentary on variances
• Assist with annual budget creation and develop Analysis on KPIs to enable performance to be monitored.
• Management of company cash flow, monitor bank accounts and complete returns, to include VAT and Intrastat
• Maintenance of company fixed asset register, processing journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Lead, guide and develop a Bookkeeper ensuring PL / SL / CC / Payroll Duties are completed
• Work closely with Director, External Accountants and Banks etc.
• Daily use of Sage Line 50 / Sage Payroll / MS Excel) and other internal software’s
The ideal candidate for this position will be working towards qualification (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) if not already qualified with at least 3-5 years experience with a similar role however those that are stop studiers or QBE with suitable experience will be considered.
Experience of using Sage Accounting software is desirable but not essential however a good level of ability with MS Excel for analysis is key.

In return, this varied and challenging role offers a basic salary of up to £45,000 coupled with excellent benefits.
